1. Appointments & Scheduling
Appointment times are reserved based on the service and vehicle information provided by the customer.
Service duration is an estimate and may vary depending on the actual condition of the vehicle, requested services, weather conditions, and other circumstances discovered during service.
Customers should provide accurate information about the vehicle and its condition when booking, including significant pet hair, staining, excessive debris, work-vehicle conditions, or other conditions that may materially affect the required work.
2. Cancellation, Rescheduling & No-Shows
Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.
For changes within 24 hours, customers should contact ATW Detailing directly. Because no booking deposit is currently required, standard cancellations do not result in a forfeited deposit.
A customer's first no-show will make promotional discounts unavailable for that customer's next appointment. After that appointment is successfully completed, the customer may again qualify for then-current promotions.
After a second no-show, ATW Detailing may decline future appointments from that customer.
Repeated late cancellations may affect priority scheduling for future appointments.
3. Mobile Service & Work Area
ATW Detailing is a mobile service and normally arrives with the equipment, water, power, and supplies necessary to perform the scheduled service.
The work location must provide sufficient safe space for:
- the customer's vehicle with doors open; and
- the ATW service vehicle reasonably nearby, generally within approximately 15 feet (5 meters).
For apartment or managed-property parking areas, the customer is responsible for obtaining any permission required by the property owner or management before the appointment.
Work on public streets may only be performed where legally permitted and where conditions allow the service to be performed safely.
Exterior washing will not be performed in a location where soap, chemicals, or wash runoff would improperly enter a storm drain or where exterior detailing is otherwise prohibited.
If the customer requests additional work beyond the originally scheduled service, access to the customer's water or electricity may occasionally be requested if ATW's onboard resources are insufficient for the expanded work. This will be discussed with the customer first.
4. Weather
ATW Detailing carries a canopy and may be able to perform certain services during light rain.
Interior detailing can often continue under the canopy or inside a suitable customer-provided garage or covered work area.
Rain, wind, wind-driven rain, or other unsuitable weather may substantially reduce the value or durability of exterior detailing results. Freshly cleaned or polished exterior surfaces may immediately develop new water spots, streaking, or contamination when exposed to rain.
For exterior detailing and polishing, ATW may recommend rescheduling to a period with suitable weather. The customer may be contacted before the appointment if the forecast is likely to affect the scheduled work.
If appropriate covered working conditions are available at the customer's location, service may still be possible.
5. Ceramic Coating & Weather Requirements
Ceramic coating requires suitable application and curing conditions.
ATW Detailing does not perform outdoor ceramic coating applications in rain or unsuitable wet conditions.
After application, the vehicle must remain dry for at least 24 hours. When weather conditions do not allow this, the service must be rescheduled or performed in a suitable enclosed location where the vehicle can remain protected and dry during the required period.
6. Vehicle Condition & Pricing Adjustments
Pricing is based on the vehicle and condition information provided when the appointment is booked.
Normal variations in condition are expected. If the vehicle is only moderately different from the condition described, ATW may complete the scheduled service at the originally agreed price.
If the actual condition is materially worse than described and requires substantially more labor, time, or specialized treatment, ATW will inform the customer before beginning the affected work and provide any necessary pricing adjustment.
Examples may include excessive pet hair, excessive debris, unusually severe staining, or other conditions materially beyond the booked service.
Additional chargeable work will not be performed without customer approval.
If the revised scope or price is not accepted and the condition prevents the originally booked service from being reasonably performed, ATW may decline to begin the service and leave the appointment location.
7. Additional Work Requested On-Site
Customers are welcome to ask about additional services or additional vehicles while ATW is on-site.
Before accepting additional work, ATW will consider:
- available appointment time;
- required equipment and supplies;
- available water and power;
- working conditions; and
- the effect on later scheduled appointments.
The customer will be given the additional price before the extra work begins.
Additional work will only be performed after customer approval. Same-day completion cannot be guaranteed when work was not included in the original appointment.
8. Personal Belongings
Customers are encouraged to remove unnecessary personal belongings and valuables before interior detailing.
Small items that can be safely moved may be temporarily removed so the surrounding area can be cleaned and then returned to their original location.
If belongings significantly interfere with the work and the customer is available, ATW may ask the customer to remove them.
ATW does not unnecessarily handle personal documents or the contents of filled storage compartments. Areas that cannot reasonably be accessed because of personal belongings may not be cleaned.
Money, valuables, documents, and other items found during cleaning that are clearly not trash will be preserved and returned to the customer.
9. Pre-Service Vehicle Condition & Existing Damage
ATW may photograph or otherwise document the condition of the vehicle before beginning service.
Existing scratches, dents, paint defects, cracked or loose trim, damaged plastics, damaged controls, worn materials, or other visible pre-existing conditions may be documented before work begins.
These photographs are intended to establish the vehicle's pre-service condition and assist in distinguishing existing damage from issues that may be raised after service.
10. Vehicle Keys & Customer Presence
The customer does not need to remain at the service location for the entire appointment.
ATW must have appropriate access to the vehicle during service. Vehicle keys should therefore remain available when necessary, including because some vehicles may automatically lock.
Whenever possible, the customer will be asked to position the vehicle appropriately before service begins.
ATW generally does not move or reposition customer vehicles unless the customer specifically requests or authorizes it.
11. Payment
ATW may send the customer an invoice before or during the service.
Available payment methods and any applicable payment information are shown on the invoice.
Payment is due according to the invoice provided for the service.
ATW does not add a separate surcharge to the customer solely because the customer chooses to pay by credit or debit card.
Any additional work approved during the appointment may be added to the final invoice.
12. Service Area & Travel Fees
ATW Detailing's standard mobile service area is maintained separately in its current Service Area information.
Locations outside the standard service area may still be serviced for an additional travel charge.
| Area | Travel Charge |
|---|
| Eatonville | +$10 |
| SeaTac / Tukwila / South Seattle | +$20 |
| North Seattle / Bellevue | +$30 |
| Yelm | +$30 |
| Kirkland / Bothell | +$40 |
| Mill Creek | +$50 |
| Snohomish / Everett / Marysville | +$60 |
Other locations outside the standard service area are reviewed individually. Service may be declined when the travel distance makes mobile service impractical.
The applicable travel charge should be confirmed before the appointment is finalized.
13. Detailing Results & Limitations
Detailing improves and maintains a vehicle's condition but does not guarantee restoration to a new or factory condition.
Results depend on factors including the age, material, previous treatment, wear, contamination, paint condition, and severity of defects.
ATW does not guarantee complete removal of every stain, odor, scratch, water spot, swirl, or other defect.
Some water spots may consist primarily of removable mineral deposits. Others may have etched into the clear coat and require more aggressive correction or sanding.
Paint correction can improve eligible paint defects, but deep scratches or defects that extend beyond safely correctable clear coat may remain.
ATW does not perform body-shop repairs, repainting, or paint touch-up as part of standard detailing services.
14. Customer Authorization
ATW will not knowingly perform additional chargeable work outside the agreed service without customer authorization.
Authorization may be provided through the booking process, written communication, invoice approval, electronic communication, or direct approval during the appointment.
If the customer is not present and an unexpected condition requires approval before work can reasonably continue, ATW may pause the affected work until the customer can be reached.
15. Service Results & Customer Concerns
ATW Detailing provides professional detailing services based on the agreed scope of work. Payment is for the services and labor performed and does not constitute a guarantee that every stain, odor, scratch, swirl, water spot, etching mark, or other defect will be completely removed.
If the customer has a concern about completed work, the customer should contact ATW Detailing within 48 hours of service completion so the concern can be reviewed.
ATW may request photos or an opportunity to inspect the vehicle before determining an appropriate response.
16. Right to Refuse or Stop Service
ATW Detailing may refuse to begin or may stop service when conditions are unsafe, unlawful, materially different from those represented at booking, unsuitable for the requested service, or otherwise prevent the work from being performed reasonably and safely.
Examples include unsafe work areas, lack of required property permission, severe undisclosed vehicle conditions, weather that makes the requested service inappropriate, or a request to perform work that ATW determines cannot be completed safely or within the available service conditions.
If a service is stopped after work has already been performed, any payment due will be based on the work actually completed and any charges previously approved by the customer.
17. Customer Authority
By booking or authorizing service, the customer represents that they are the vehicle owner or otherwise have permission and authority to authorize detailing services for the vehicle.
18. Changes to These Policies
ATW Detailing may update these Service Policies as its services and operating procedures change.
The policies applicable to an appointment should be those provided or made available in connection with that booking.
